A Message From Our Head Pastor

Pastor Vanetta and Deacon Elwin Fairweather
Host Pastor and Husband
Our vision as a church is rooted in the life-changing power of God’s Word. We are called to be a people who not only hear the Word but live it and share it with others. In every sermon, lesson, and act of service, we seek to proclaim the truth of Scripture with clarity, conviction, and love. The Word of God brings light to darkness, hope to the weary, and direction to the lost. We are commanded, as a people to preach the word to the lost, at any cost. But what does "Preaching the Word" look like?

Preaching the Word, calls us to a duty that is most needed in a world that seems to be growing more antithetical to the message of God as revealed in the Bible. The Apostle Paul, in his final charge to Timothy, spoke with great urgency: “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ… preach the word; be instant in season, out of season” (2 Timothy 4:1–2). This was not merely a suggestion but a command. Paul knew that the time would come when people would no longer endure sound doctrine, preferring instead teachers who told them what their itching ears wanted to hear. Yet the responsibility of the church and its ministers is clear: to remain faithful to the truth of God’s Word, whether it is popular or not.
To preach the Word is to proclaim Christ crucified and risen. It is to declare the whole counsel of God, not watering it down to suit culture, nor trimming it to fit convenience. It means preaching with conviction, with love, with patience, and with the unwavering belief that the gospel is the power of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16).
As we reflect on God’s goodness and faithfulness, may we also look forward with
renewed courage and devotion. We stand only because of the grace of Christ, the love of God the
Father, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit that has carried us this far. That same grace equips us
for the work ahead — to proclaim the unchanging truth of Scripture in a changing world, to live it
out in love and holiness, and to pass it faithfully to the next generation.
The Word of God remains our light, our strength, and our message to a world in darkness. Let us go forth with boldness and conviction, determined to fulfill Paul’s words: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7). With such faith, we too can look ahead to the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give to all who love His appearing.
In the Service of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
